Riches S1 follows the story of the Richards’ family as the children battle for succession over their late father’s beauty empire. The series highlights the Nigerian heritage of the Richards family and the distinct experience of being successful and Black in London. Opulence, luxury and opportunity were key themes throughout the series and we aimed to reflect that throughout our marketing campaign, both creatively and tactically.
To breakthrough the cultural zeitgeist, I proposed a strategy for us to create an art gallery at Art Basel Miami that centered Black artists and allowed for audiences to directly engage with the series. The event won “Best Entertainment Event of 2022” at the Ex Awards by Event Marketer, and was a finalist for “Best Experiential Activation For A Consumer Event” at the ProMax North American Awards June 2023.
